Wow, some people on here have probably never encountered someone with an actual allergy. It's not that hard to create allergen free dishes, not hard at all. If you don't like being a good host, don't have people to your house. Dealing with Food Allergies as a Host |

Actually Glassybabies aren't made by sick puppies, they are made by glass artists trying to make a living, that was my first job out of college. But they are totally overpriced, and have progressively treated their employees worse and worse as they become more successful. I would recommend NOT buying Glassybabies, but supporting an individual glass artist instead. Beautiful & Modern: A Neutral Tabletop |

I'm glad Seattle finally passed the paper bag fee, and got rid of plastic bags all together. I always carry a small tote with me, but often times I just don't use a bag at all. I can carry a few items in my arm without a bag. If You're Going To San Francisco... Be Sure To Bring Your Own Bags |

@Sggvt04, That dying project has been retracted from the Rit Dye site and has widely been exposed as a bad idea. Although I have to say I tried it, keeping the ends out of the dye... and the dye never took. Safety First: Extension Cord DON'TS |

I like mixing the old fashioned blue and white with modern geometric patterns. The contrast modernizes it a bit I think. This is a great question, I was just wondering about myself. I recently traveled down to California for the Alameda Flea Market, because there's nothing like it up here in Washington. The closest thing I can think of is Estate Sales. We also have some amazing thrift stores, but they don't have the feel of a flea market. I'm excited to see what others say. What about talking to the landlord directly? If you haven't already moved in you have nothing to lose by bringing this potentially awkward subject up. I just moved into an apartment like this. So far I have removed the closet door in the bedroom, replaced the kitchen drawer pulls, added racks in the kitchen that can easily be taken down and screw holes filled in and painted over, changed out the hideous towel racks in the bathroom, added a bigger bathroom cabinet, and filled the bedroom with a rug that's much nicer than the carpet. I plan on putting temporary wallpaper in the bedroom and adding storage in the living room with wall shelves. It's a lot of work but I think living in a space that fits you and makes you happy is definitely worth it. Reversible Upgrades: Things to Temporarily Change in a Rental |
