I'm horrified to read that some people are THAT protective of their super secret special recipes. It is a joy to share a cherished recipe with someone I love so that they can make it for someone that they love. My recipe book is made up of Ian's mom's pizza dough, Oma's soup, Grandma's yoyos, my best friend Steph's ginger cookies. Steph often makes my mother-in-law's meat sauce. Sharing doesn't take anything away from a recipe - it improves it by multiplying the happiness it brings. Do You Have Any Secret Recipes? |

I use it as breading for chicken fingers. Great crunch, great flavour, beautiful colour - way more fun than boring breadcrumbs. Vegetarian Dining: What Can You Do With Falafel Mix? |

Isabella, you have my deepest sympathies for the backsplash. Welcome to the kitchen in my house (oh yes, there will be renovations... one day): http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2400/2223721490_023c66ae76_o.jpg Kitchen Tour: Isabella Adapts to Her Kitchen New York | Apartment Therapy The Kitchn |

I use my electric knife primarily for slicing my homemade bread. I find that it makes perfect, even slices that are far better than my efforts with a regular knife. Apartment Therapy The Kitchn | Kitchen Relic: The Electric Carving Knife |

Since we just bought our first home, I'm living with a less-than-ideal fridge for the forseeable future (it's small, and the only organized storage consists of 2 opaque crisper drawers that don't slide very well). Apartment Therapy The Kitchen | How To: Organize Your Fridge |
