Personally, I rent and I have laminate floors. With a cat and two ferrets I have to say I absolutely love them. So easy to clean and barely ever scratch.

Love this! I bought a similar style desk for 5.99 last week and plan on painting just the drawers and updating the hardware as well.

I just moved into my place 2 days ago and will be sharing with the previous tenant until the 9th so it's going to be a challenge but I can't wait. Also, does "remove the awful wallpaper from EVERY room" apply to this challenge? lol

My boyfriend used to never give an opinion, then all of a sudden he had a hissy fit over everything floral and banned such prints from the apartment. Now I ask for his opinion but he doesn't want to help pay for anything so I don't think I should have to. I mean, its not my fault we moved into an apartment with pink walls.

I love that the daughter had such a big part in the whole process, and I love how it turned out.

I'm kind of not happy about this. Now anyone can just look you up on the web and if you don't want that you have to make it private for everybody. That's the one thing I liked about IG, the fact that creepers couldn't necessarily access my life.

I love this! I actually have a whole room of my own in our three bedroom apartment for my sewing/ crafting, Except I have to store everything in it (power tools, xmas tree, air conditioners, and my two ferrets with their giant cage), so its been a permanent mess no matter how much I try to organize. I really want to start sewing dresses and more clothing for myself and I think this post has inspired me to finish up in there so I can get back to what I really want to do :]

I would LOVE a new couch, but that's not happening. Maybe new bedding or, although not really in the "design" category, an electric mixer.

These are all really cute, but like previous posters said, my cat doesn't sleep in the same spot longer than a week or two. She especially wants nothing to do with anything I give her, but is interested in everything else. Oh cats.

Orange has been my favorite color since I was 10! Welcome to the dark side.
And to answer your question: I hate the color red, always have. In everything (design, clothing, whatever). I still don't like it, but I do love pink at the moment in any shade (coral, peach, hot pink...). I want to use it everywhere all the time. Maybe someday I'll warm up to red but it makes me cringe thinking about it now.

I'd have to say having clean/ extra linens for guests is pretty important. I'm at that age where I never know if my friends are going to have these things or if i should supply my own. I always play it safe and pack them anyways. Oh and tools. I don't know how I would have survived longer than a week on my own without AT LEAST a set of screw drivers. I recently started buying house plants, and although i don't need them to live like an adult, it feels like a step in that direction.
