We found out we were having twins at the 18 week sonogram, when we just thought we were finding out if it was a boy or girl. The doctor was surprised too, and said there are two babies here, let me go check and see how much time we have allotted to this appointment. (It was a little more crazy than that) but the point is he left us in the room alone. I called my mom, told her and hung up when the doctor came back into the room, and by the time we found out any more information, everyone in the whole world knew.
