Luckily in the southern hemisphere we can use solar powered Christmas lights most years (so no extra bills). The Do's & Don'ts of Holiday Lights |

We had a similar game called 'Fabulous Fred'. Hours of entertainment, and I still see the flashing lights behind my eyes some nights just before I fall asleep. Test Your Memory with Sidewalk Simon Toddler Approved |

This is a really great kitchen. I'm looking to renovate my own kitchen in a little while. I have a very small space but the main thing is that I have no-where to put anything down near the stove. How is it possible to cook properly when there's nowhere to put down a spare pot or utensils? I really like that very narrow cabinet you've got there with the drawers beneath. That's exactly what I need. Thanks for showing us around your kitchen. (And we love the Ken cake.) Scott's DIY Kitchen Renovation on a Budget Kitchen Tour |

I love this place, thanks for showing it. As others above have said, it's great to see a home that people live in. It's particularly inspiring to see a beautiful place that incorporates the needs of adults and children. So wonderful how everyone seems to be welcome in every room. It just says home to me. (And I too would love the Julia Child circles on the floor to keep things in their place!) Shelley & Reed's Creative Cottage House Tour |

I don't have an answer for you, but I just wanted to say that you are a good neighbour and I wish you were MY upstairs neighbour. Thank you, on behalf of all downstairs tenants, for being so considerate. Recommendations for Attractive, Soundproof Flooring? Good Questions |

I don't like having music on to relax to. I prefer to listen to a podcast of a show like This American Life, or a reading of a story. (Never got over needing a bedtime story I guess). Study Determines This Is the Most Relaxing Song Ever |

What an amazing place. I love the plants all along the windows, the way you've got storage sorted out and the fantastic workspace desk with bookshelves at the end. You're small space geniuses! (I loved living in a small space with a baby, as you've anticipated, it's great to always have them within reach.) Michelle & Howard's Thoughtfully Organized Home Small Cool Contest |

Thanks for posting the extra pictures. Love your bedroom and the pattern on bedspread. It so reminds me of my parents' house in the 1970s (very fond memories). You have an inviting, individual home. Joan's Personal Pieces Small Cool Contest |

We've just bought our own place and the thing we spent money on was having a wall-to-wall-floor-to-ceiling custom made bookshelf built. It totally dominates the flat and we love it. Restful Repositories: 10 Charming Home Libraries |
