OMG, we were doing a bathroom remodel when I was 8 1/2 months pregnant and boy did those contractors start moving more quickly when I started hinting that our daughter might come early.

Hey everyone, It's my kitchen that has the wine cubbies at the ceiling and I'd like to put everyone's mind at ease: we don't store "good" bottles up there at all. Also, we've taken the temperature in the cubbies and it's never been more than a few degrees hotter than the ambient temperature in the room. So yes, it's probably not a great way to cellar your amazing 1994 Cabernet, but for your everyday $15 bottle, it's worked out perfectly!

@B77: The earliest pieces of Kobenstyle are enameled on the bottom, are made in Denmark, and have a "Four Ducks" logo. The later versions have a different bottom, logo, and are marked Made in France.

@Lazy_Lurker: It's the Dora. Rejuvenation lets you customize the length of the lights, so we were able to shorten them since our ceilings aren't particularly tall.

@JadeBear: Our cabinets are the Millennia cabinets from Canyon Creek. They're custom cabinets and this was the most cost-effective option they had. The pulls are from IKEA.

@337: The old cabinets were 1970s wood laminate and they were chipped and frankly not high-quality enough to preserve them. We're all for vintage at our house, but only if it's built to last and in good condition! :-)

@Wormy: The countertops are Chroma Quartz in "Crystal White" by Pental. There is a little bit of sparkle when the sun hits the counters, which I love.
