I bought a Roku a few years ago and still love the little thing. I mainly use it for Netflix and Amazon instant video. When I cut my cable, I started subscribing to my absolute favorite shows on Amazon and can keep up that way. It's been fabulous. I recommend it to everyone. You can learn to live with any color. I also agree with the suggestion of bright accent colors. Black and white and go with anything. If you have any windows in the living room, you could hang some big white curtains around them to break up the walls. Black and white picture frames--large with big art. Just decorate like you intended to have it that color and you might grow to like it. I have a bathroom with tiles of the same sort of colors. I paired it with a nice bright blue, some lime green, bright pinks, oranges, and lots of black and white. It almost looks intentional. Ideas for Dealing with Rental's Coral Walls Without Painting? I don't know what you mean by FREE streaming. Those of us without cable or satellite can't watch the live streaming. Therefore it's not free. It's part of your cable package. I agree that they have severely botched coverage. London Olympics Delay: Boo! Free Live Stream Online: Hurrah! |

The ceiling in my master bathroom shower cubicle. I accidentally broke the seal on the can light the first time I changed the bulb and didn't realise this until I noticed the ceiling was sagging around it. I let the whole thing dry for weeks (I have another bathroom with a shower/bath so it wasn't difficult, and I merely duct taped around the light to make it water tight for now. I'm not up to replacing dry wall and a light fixture just yet, nor do I have the stretch in my budget just yet to hire it done, so I just leave it. I'm the only one who uses the shower, so who cares. Well, first off, yellow can work well with grey. You can find a nice soft grey color for the walls if you are allowed to paint, and if you have any windows, you can look for a fabric that has similar tones as the tiles and your accessory colors to tie things in. I own a house built in the 50s. Both bathrooms are tiled up the walls. One is peachy-pink and the other is yellow. I have a very soft grey in the yellow bathroom and a bright robins egg blue in the peach bathroom. To tie in the colors. How To Decorate Around Bold Tile? Good Questions |

My gran had a large area rug in her kitchen. It was a thick plush number that was almost impossible to clean food out of. I still remember the hours spent cleaning up a dropped jar of applesauce. When I inherited the house, that was one of my first changes. I pulled out the rug, had it washed and moved it to the entryway. There is a new rug in there now, but it is machine washable one that fits comfortably in front of the sink so I have a softer place to stand while tidying. Rugs in the Kitchen: Cozy or Icky? |
