I liked the before better, it's too bad they didn't paint it white and lightly distress the edges... All kidding aside, beautiful job!! As some have already pointed out, edible gold finishes have been around in the cake world for a while. If you use a paint sprayer (one specifically designed for edibles) you can get metallic finishes, this is more accessible for sure. But I'm with the others... a little goes a long way, and it seems to be more appealing used on cakes and desserts than tomatoes and pretzels (which really does look like silver poop).
