The most interesting comparison was light ranch to ranch. Often things like sugar and salt are added to make up for the texture and flavor lost by removing fat. In that case, I'd rather have the full fat, rather than all that sugar. How Much Sugar Is In That? A Side-by-Side Look at a Few Common Foods Video |

I made this once with black cob I purchased at Whole Foods. The fish was so bony as to be impossible to eat. I was actually stunned that WF sold the fish that way. Next time, I'll make sure the fish is completely boneless. Recipe: Nobu's Miso-Marinated Black Cod Recipes From The Kitchn |

I agree with the poster above me. Dogs don't need to eat grain. It's not healthy for them at all. Since we took our dogs off grains, they've lost a bit of weight, their coats have been shinier, eyes clearer, and energy boosted. Not mention that they don't have that funky grain-line foot smell anymore. Cookies For Canines: 9 Homemade Dog Treat Recipes |

When I was a little girl, I ate what was served. There wasn't room for negotiation. Sandwiches weren't cut in to fun shapes, veggies weren't dressed up or hidden. I was given the same plate of food as everyone else. Eat what was served or go to bed hungry. I went to bed hungry 1 time. Never did it again after that. I can't possibly have been unusual. @EMMI I've done that, and it tends to disrupt the dining experience even more than the cilantro. Honestly, I'm lucky to be able to afford to eat out, so I don't sweat it too much. When it's sprinkled on top, I pick/scrape it off. In terms of being in the dish, I try to avoid anything on the menu that includes cilantro in the mix. In China, congee is a very popular breakfast. It's rice porridge with savory bits of veggies and meats/fish added. I would imagine you could do the same thing with oatmeal. Rethinking Oatmeal: 7 Savory Morning Recipes |

Yeah, I'm not going to fake an allergy. I can live with it on my food, I just really dislike it. I was just trying to illustrate the point that a person won't just "get used to it". New Research Says Soapy Coriander Taste Is Linked To Genetic Receptors Food News |

I'm forced to try it again, again and again. When I go to an Indian, Thai or Mexican restaurant, I always request that my food not be topped with cilantro. For some reason, that request is nearly always ignored. Despite my total distaste for the stuff, I do find myself eating it about once a week. I hate the flavor, but I wouldn't say it tastes like soap. To me, it's very strongly herbal, rather like an evergreen tree. It always reminds me of cough syrup. New Research Says Soapy Coriander Taste Is Linked To Genetic Receptors Food News |

I've been using grapeseed oil exclusively for the last 5 months. I like the versatility. I can use it everywhere I would use olive oil, as well as in baked goods, frying ... everything! It's great. Plus, it doesn't have the fishy smell that canola oil can sometimes get. My 3 Favorite Uses for Grapeseed Oil |

Back in the early 80's, when I was a little person, I was usually the only kid in the cafeteria with a whole grain bread sandwich, with natural chunky peanut butter, crusts on. As an adult, I only ever eat white bread. I don't eat it very often, but it's always soft, white bread. I do eat the crusts, as white crusts are quite a bit better than whole grain.
