Firstly - your dog is ADORABLE!

As someone who has had a border collie for 11 years, I can totally relate. Regarding the couch I'd say the best choice would be a mocha or a light beige with a barely detectable pin stripe running through it. I have a beige couch and the pin stripe just breaks it up enough so that when fur gets on there is doesn't look as dirty. But sticking to more neutral tones definitely works better with pet hair.

Then as for maintenance, my favourite tool is the Aussie Lint Roll for quick clean ups - so easy. Plus if you have a Dyson they have a new attachment called the Dyson Groom which actually allows you to vacuum your dog before they shed.
