I use Pinterest to keep track of ideas that inspire me and are helpful. It is a wonderful concept, BUT I visit it less and less as it seems more companies are just marketing their stuff, and of course the bogus links are driving me mad. Part of what was/is so great about Pinterest is that the pins are pinned by "real people" and are part of a creative process-not companies just simply marketing their stuff. It is a turnoff and I have yet to buy anything I saw. Made, yes. Bought, no.

How fun and personal! It is always a pleasure to see homes that are very indivualized. There is something special in each room.

Any suggestions for chatty therapists? I've had some pretty chatty ones, especially when I had to go for medical massages. The chatter and asking me questions during a massage make it difficult for me to relax. Even though it is a medical massage, I would like to ne able to let my body and mind relax. How do I politely ask them to shut it? I do include my preferences on the intake form.

Oh, I second Fannie Farmer. I have the baking book, which your boyfriend may not always use, but it hands down the best source for simple baked goods. Even I, who usually cannot get bread to rise to save her life, has had success baking bread and treats from this book.

Also, there is a "Cooking for Two" magazine that my parents found handy when all the kids left. Your BF would get new recipes each month or so. And he should invest in quality containers for freezing leftovers. I live alone and find that cooking one or two days a week (halving recipes designed for more than 4) and freezing individual portions is about the most useful thing a single household can do. It is so great to be able to grab something for lunch or dinner without a second thought.
Good luck!

$80 is just too much...but, I just bought Simple Human's $30 compact one that is just awesome. I love that is raised higher, off the counter, and has the spout. Fantastic. If Bed, Bath, and Beyond carry it, they have coupons.

During the spring and summer I tend to always open the windows as I like fresh air. But, with the kitty box room I also always have one of those plug in air fresheners. For those, I choose seasonal scents. Despite cleaning the box every day or every other day and despite having the best litter "Feline Fresh" ...still need the air freshener.
