I love to bake for my office but often find transportability a challenge. People enjoy things that taste great, but are also nice to look at. I was thinking of a nice (and very easy) recipe of palmiers -- Joy the Baker had them a few years ago: Best Homemade Baked Goods for a Work Seminar? Good Questions |

I enjoyed Ruth Reichl's book Garlic & Sapphires. It was a lot about her restaurant reviews, but mixed in recipes too. I remember it being such a fun read. Novels, with Food: What Are Your Favorite Foodie Fiction Books? |

Wow, I have to agree with the other posters on this, it does look ghetto! I have used clear plexi glass to make it look like part of a window when i install my window air conditioner. I use moldable fingertip rope caulk to keep the plexi glass in place and it comes out looking wonderful. I've stopped using the accordian shades completely because this way looks so much nicer. Everything can be bought at home depot or lowe's. You really just need to have an exacto knife to cut the plexi glass to the right size. Simple & Smart: Air Conditioner Installation Tip |
