I live by the idea that you can move forward or bring anything new to your life if you hang on to older, sour memories. Let the new in.
I give away anything anyone had given me if it's a relationship gone bad. Doesn't matter who it was; friend or ex.
There is only 1 thing I ever kept from an old relationship because it was something I wanted and he happed to buy it for me; a little elf that sits on a shelf in the livingroom. Oddly, it never reminds me of 'him'.

Does the door that is blocked by the beautiful purple dresser unusable?
I really like your space. Love that you've encorporated color to each room. I think walll papering your bedroom would be lovely.
Good luck.

Sadly, in San Mateo, California there was a skate park in a residental neighborhood and the residents complained and they ripped it out. Yup, kids can get loud -it's a park for goodness sakes..so where are teens to go? I would rather know that my kids is at a skate park than cruising the streets bored and that welcomes trouble.
Do we rip parks out because they are loud? I think teens are the less cared for in our society and we look upon them as 'bad'. Just my opinion...

Cute space...
However I'm curious..so New Yorkers, please enlighted me. I've seen more than one teeny, tiny space shown from NY where 2 people live in it. Are things that expensive that 2 must share such a small space or is it by choice? I live in the East Bay from SF but use to live in SF and if I had too, sure, I'd live with someone in a teeny, tiny place, but if I didn't, no way. Just seems way too small regardless of how much I liked/loved the person.

I dont' know if a view to the next building, as beautiful as it might be, I would consider a view however you do have a really fun place and those windows surely make the space see much larger than it is. I would have like to seen the bathroom.
Best of luck with the contest.

I worked in an open area as a temp once and hated it. It's nosey and there was no privacy for meetings. I felt that folks were looking over my shoulders. Once my contract was up, they wanted me back and I said no.

My condo it came with a dishwaser, washer and dryer. For me, it's more cost efficient to do laudry at home. At least I can do other things while my laundry is getting done. My gas and electric bill never go over $40.00 in the winter and never over $25.00 in the summer. Going to the laundry mat takes $4.25 to do one load and .25 for 7 minutes of drying time. I never used my dishwasher but would dislike it very much if I didn't have a W/D at home.

GREAT WINDOWS. Would have like to seen the kitchen rather than the dress to get a better understanding of the lay out.

UPCYCLE: Taking an object and refurbashing it into something else.
EXAMPLE: A beer bottle--Cut it in half and making it into a drinking glass.
Fixing: That's what this post did and I still like it alot.

If you don't need the storage, this is a great use of space. Love what you did. I've often wondered about putting my own bed in a closet simply because how nice and dark it would be. ;oD

Even if you're a fabulous cook, you can't follow these cooking shows because they move to fast for you to even measure out that first ingredient or even try to write anything down.
