Design sense and über geekiness are not any more mutually exclusive (or related) than wealth and taste. Why would you ever hesitate to celebrate the things that make you happy? If two of those happen to be great design and Farscape, I'll wager Scorpio's rising beautifully in your pad.

Well said, TULSA RETRO. You can snake a cord to any location you can get to yourself. Sometimes I'll keep a cordless drill/driver by my corded drill to punch pilot holes, but for torque, cost and reliability cords win every time.

Wasn't this a plot device in Under the Tuscan Sun? Good advice on the temperament thing. Quotes are just campaign promises in the evolution of a remodel, tho. My device, sadly: Solid references are solid gold. A contractor who shows up and doesn't steal is worth double the rate of someone who does. Don't feel like you're getting ripped off by paying more, you're paying more not to get ripped off. Best of luck to all of you!
