I second that. Actually, it doesn't look like 'regular' basil to me in the first place - I mean, usually the leaves are smooth, aren't they, yet these seem to have serrated edges...!? Recipe: Creamy Green Garlic & Avocado Pesto Over Gnocchi Guest Post from Erin Gleeson of The Forest Feast |

Technically, it's not 'eating' your greens, but a green smoothie is an easy way to get some extra fruit and green leafy veg for breakfast or after a workout. Incorporating kale and spinache has never been easier! 15 Ways to Eat Your Greens in the Winter Recipe Collections from The Kitchn |

Not sure if it's technically a fruit or a veggie, but how about some avocado? With a bit of olive oil and lemon juice, or in a smoothie, sliced/mashed on a sandwich, as a fried egg avocado, etc. Yummy! What Vegetables Should I Keep On Hand For Breakfast? Good Questions |

I like to mix up some chives with those little pink shrimps and sour cream (greek yoghurt works, too), salt, pepper and a bit op lemon juice and heap that mixture on my baked potatos. Works really well with smoked salmon, too. What Are Some Healthy Toppings for Baked Potatoes? Recipe Questions |

It's also good with vanilla ice cream:) But then vanilla ice cream is wonderful with just about anything, e.g. Baileys or thekitchn's sweet milk liqueur (http://www.thekitchn.com/a-sweet-treat-homemade-milk-li-138124) and you don't have to prepare it beforehand and freeze it. Just made this - and it was really yummy! Used fresh chili though... And think I will drizzle with olive oil instead of butter next time (we had some olive oil for dipping the crust, which gave me the idea). And let me tell you: you can't ever stuff enough cheese in there! Recipe: Pull-Apart Spicy Cheese Bread |

The liquor in the picture looks suspiciously like it, but this is really good with The Kitchn's very own 'Milk and Booze' liquor (http://www.thekitchn.com/a-sweet-treat-homemade-milk-li-138124). It's actually one of my favorite desserts these days! Recipe: Scotch, Espresso & Vanilla Affogato |

Soooo... Last thursday it was finally time to strain the liquor. Took quite some time due to the milk solids, but the result is beautifully clear and yellow (strained it 3 times, only the first time takes forever). Liquor smells fantastic and tastes wonderful, especially when very cold. Also very nice with vanilla ice cream and/or apple crumble and/or fruit cobbler.

Love it! Easy to make, tasty and great gift:) I like to leave out the sugar, add some vanilla extract, double the amount of spices for som extra 'oomph' and then add a bit of 5 spice powder (wanted to add anise and ginger, but was fresh out of both... So decided to experiment and in went the 5 spice. Turned out to be really yummy!). Delicious! Edible Gift Idea: Chai Concentrate |

I started a batch last night (with a lemon, an orange and a vanilla pod) and already saw some coagulation this morning! And yes, it looks utterly disgusting:) Used whole milk and keep it in my unheated kitchen, wrapped in a towel by the window (cold and dark enough I figured). Can't wait to sample it by next friday! Hope that the filtering process will indeed leave it this beautiful sunny yellow hue... Milk and Booze! How To Make Sweet Milk Liqueur |
