I am not a morning person and have a hard time keeping up with my boys first thing, so they get some fruit, maybe toast, and milk when they first wake, and then once I'm really awake, a more substantial breakfast. Auto-pilot first breakfast allows me a moment to breathe and really wake up, second breakfast (second half of breakfast?) I can get them something more filling and with some protein usually.
