I definitely wouldn't recommend a natural fibre rug/mat like jute. Food gets in the crevices and is impossible to get out. Also if it gets a spill on it the fibre will shrink where it's been wet, leaving the rug misshapen.

Great improvement :) the one thing I would change to give it a more modern feel would be to paint the green wall a dark blue grey.

As an Australian, I have never had either. It's always a flat white or latte from the coffee machine. Here it seems people either drink instant (blugh) or from the machine- espresso with textured milk.

Gorgeous home! Love the raw elements; brick, concrete, wood. Love seeing homes with family photos on display, the mix of art and photography is really well done.
Anyone who says this home isn't safe for a child has never had one. Surprisingly they do not spend their days looking for hard and/or sharp objects with which to harm themselves, or suburbia would be row upon row of jumping castles.

Only put stone fruit in the fridge after it ripens to your liking, it will never ripen in the fridge, only age.
I think the asker is looking for advice more along the lines of pantry goods, but I have no idea, sorry!
