I forgot to comment about the bars. If you do resurface the tiles, you might be able to remove the bars and fill in the small holes from the screws that holds the hand rails to the wall. You may be better off waiting until you replace the tiles before removing them. Flooring for Pink and Green Bathroom? Good Questions |

I would have the tiles, both shower and wall resurfaced. It's a processes of spraying the tiles with auto paint. It seals the tiles and it last for about seven years. It's cheap too. Depending on where you live, it would cost about $300.00. Paint them white and then do the floor in a white tiles as well. This will save you money and make the space look bigger. Get rid of the current fireplace surround and replace it with something modern, sleek and simple. Paint the flanking shelves in the same color as the walls and ceiling. Paint the upper part of the fireplace above the new mantel and place the TV above the fireplace. I think you need a big TV for the room too. Hivemind Designer: What Would You Do With This Wall? |
