In Egypt, hibiscus tea is called Kirkaday. It is drank hot or cold. They also call it Sun Tea since the best way to make it is to put in in a jar and leave it in the sun to infuse. Ginger is not used there. They tend to sweeten it with sugar or fruit juices. A few years ago, my partner and I started importing the hibiscus calyx into Ireland to sell the tea at markets. With a little experimenting, we created a concentrated syrup (just add hot or cold water), ice lollies and a lovely jam. If you boil it, you get a lot more tea from a similar amount than you would by infusing, I make huge batches and reheat in the microwave.

I am not sure if there is the space but I'd mount the tv in the ceiling immediately in front of the fireplace. This hides the tv in the ceiling until you lower it down. This is far from a cheap solution (Future Automation Ceiling TV Lift CH Series) but it would tidy up the fireplace. The other option if space is limited (and a much cheaper solution) would be to go with a projector tv and screen that comes down over the mantel. I found one here on Amazon (motorised screen)
