What Color To Paint Legs on Hollywood Regency Chairs? Good Questions

I have wanted to do a version of this.
But somehow I got it into my head that all the frames have to been somewhat identical ( or at least the same colour)

Thanks for showing me there is a beauty in mismatching.

I have an uncle who lives like that. Although i love him dearly......sometimes I am tempted to get him a bright red sweater and hang it in there just to freak him out.

This house is great.
If even the normal miniature doll house can stir up kids imaginations so vividly, I can imagine something so lifelike for a 6year old would just rock their world. I would have stayed in there for days.

@ sherrieakin ..."cute plantations" I am sure you mean well, but this concept annoys me.

its like saying a "cute slave-ship"

My brother and i were pushed around in one similar the the one in the second picture. And recently while I was going thru my pre-baby to-do list with my Mom she revealed that she still had the stroller and would love for her 1st grandchild to be pushed around in it.

The problem with things like that is:
a) For a shy 1st time Mom, that thing's a serious attention getter.
b)Most strollers today - even luxury ones (like every thing else jewelry, cars, wintercoats) are a little more casual (not to mention more foldable/portable)
c) I am not sure it'll meet modern saftey standards.

yeah...hmmmm...Still working on how to tell her all this.

I think portrait of ancestors are very cool.
My husbands parents have portraits of their grandparents hanging on walls. It is interesting to see the class difference with both set of greatgrandmothers especially...but they are both wearing incredible facial expressions.
He likes to say it proves he comes from 'intense' people.

Thanks for these tips. As a former nanny and about to become a new mom I often yearn for a drama/bribe free of letting kids clean up.
that said....
Actually growing up being the daughter of a strict southern preacher...My Mom had steel running through her veins. (she sounded a bit like commentator Medusa above).....problem with that was, when I was old enough to resent her I did...for a looong time!!!!! Till I got to my (ahem, late) twenties and realized, that I am kind of like her in my need to have things orderly all the time.
But hopefully I will a gentler way to teach clean up time to my little one on the way.
