What could I sub in for the sprouts? Cucumber maybe? I'm pregnant and sprouts are on the do-not-eat list. It looks delicious though! Spring Recipe: Grain Salad with Mango, Sprouts & Creamy Avocado Dressing Recipes from The Kitchn |

I once asked a Nigerian what he did to break the ice and he was super offended and chastised me and my American intrusiveness. Now I just introduce myself and ask how they know the host, or point out something we have in common that's obvious. I really dislike being asked about where I'm from, how did I get out here to current city, but that's because I have an unpleasant story that I don't like to think about. Hi Megan, can you tell me where in Seattle sells both amaranth and those big flakes of coconut? I'd love to try this, but with a baby in the car it's easier to make just one stop! Whole foods? When I finally got a CPK -- red pigtails, it came with the name Emma White. I didn't like it, so I changed it to a much more beautiful name -- Kimberly May. The Original Cabbage Patch Kids (and Other Christmas Morning Disappointments) |

I love this room. I'm really curious though, how all the white globe paper lanterns are hung. Do they really light up or are they decoration? Did you just screw little hooks into the ceiling and hang them? I'd love to do this for my own soon-to-be-baby, but I want it to look as nice! Julianne's Heirloom Nursery Nursery Tour |

Thanks Gelene! I love making fritattas, but the cooking on the stove part sometimes adds more time than I have, or more effort... :) I'm going to try this soon with the microwaved broccoli! Quick Breakfast Recipe: Basic Oven Omelet Cookbook Recipe |

It's an interesting idea, but to me the problem is that the boards don't come together smoothly. If it was just one large piece of wood, or if the smaller pieces were more exact, I think it would look better. Before & After: Dolan's DIY Luan Wood Wallcovering |

I never go into the SPL central library any more. It's cold. There's no cozy place to read. The escalators add an element of visual and acoustic chaos. The elavators are ridiculous--always full. SO slow it takes you 5 minutes to go a few floors. The stairs skip floors. To get from the 5th floor to the 6th floor you have to climb a huge flight of stairs to the 7th floor and walk back down through the stacks to get to there. One time I decided to take the fire stairs to get out, just to avoid the craziness and I was led down directly to a blank concrete wall. No signs, nothing. If you like discomfort and irritation when you're trying to read or use your laptop, this library is the place for you. Apartment Therapy San Francisco | Inspiration: Color at the Seattle Library |
