My landlord also lets me paint whatever I want, with the caveat that when I move out I'll probably have to paint it all back to dull. Worth the expense to not live in a beige nightmare!

Like KD_MUSE, I live in a perpetually snowy area. In fact, in my small town Montana recorded weather history the only day of the year we've never had snow is August 17th. About 15 years ago I'm told the 4th of July fireworks was SNOWED OUT! They had to wait to the 6th before it was dry enough to lite off the fireworks.

I would love to have a colorful display of my yarns, of which there are many, but with a cat that finds a skein of yarn more appealing than catnip, I'm relegated to using closed storage. This is the one vice my cat still has. He doesn't destroy plants, but there are nibbled little corners on a few that are non-toxic. He was also scratcher when he was little so we tried the spray to keep him off certain furniture, we also tried the sticky tape idea, but the little devil would just scratch around it and he would lick the furniture where we had put the Stay-Off spray!
