For those interested in lab countertops Toplab is a very good product. Heat resistant, chemical resistant. Now part of Trespa. I believe their latest is Toplab plus. and it IS available in lots of colors. The former Toplab was only available in Black if memory serves me correctly. When we last used Toplab in 2008 it was $20 a lineal foot at 24" wide that was about 10sf not including fabrication and shipping. It does have a waxy patina over time and shows scratches. But for my tastes its a fabulous alternative to the expense and maintenance of almost everything except metals. Ultimate Guide to Choosing Countertops: Pros & Cons |

You may also want to file a complaint with the Health Department on the Pizza shop. The complaints can typicaly be made anonymously or confidentially . Typically Health Departments take these complaints very seriously. Many times the smell is not from equipment but an exhaust system that needs to be cleaned or a grease trap that needs to be emptied. The grease fill exhaust and water gets trapped along the exit path. Apartment Therapy - Good Questions: How Can I Get Rid of the Pizza Odor? |

Just purchased two at my local Home Despot.(Pittsburgh) 26USD with tax. I purchased one for my car and one for my kitchen. At least now I can still have my fire extinguisher next the stove without it being so glaring. The opposite issue of most. I thought having the extinguisher right at the cooking source was more important than visibilty across the room. Its been an eyesore for over a year. Now the older red one can reside at the other edge of the kitchen for when we grill. I haven't lost anything other than an eybrow or two, so far. Apartment Therapy - Home Hero Fire Extinguisher |

I have never until now been a fan of Mr. Schnabel.. and I am not sure I am now but his credibility as an artist just went up as far as I am concerned.. I have thought him the wost of the self absorbed artist with work so pretentious even the untitled pieces said look I am an artist.... but i have to give him credit for making a building and a big one at that as well as learning how to make a point with architecture. I dont like the building scale , style or any portion of the composition.. Its a "frankenstyle" creation.. but the big pink finger might be Schnabel's best art yet.. he actually said some thing and meant it .. for the neighbors you still live on one of the best streets.. just be glad he didnt clad it in shiny Copper.. you would all have 'oompa loompa' orange reflections .. consider yourself lucky.. and i completely agree with snot.. in NY nothing is sacred. and thats part of its allure. I dont find living ones life untimely.. The sad reality is that death by firearms is a very likely occurence throughout the US. Its unfortunate but it could just as easily happen every day( think of other places much less"civilized" were this does) frankly i find the niavete is thinking that the desire to fill ones world with items of interest ( even in the macbre) untimely and inappropriate.
