I was lucky enough to be a part of a Shakers Studies course in high school which had the honor of being in close proximity of the last living Shaker village. The course was welcomed by the Shakers and they allowed us to tour their village once a week for a year, to learn as much as we could about them. It was amazing to experience so much Shaker design first hand. I guess this exlains my recent love for Modernist furniture.
