I had to look up twee also, and think a better definition for this is "old ladyish". But, I do like the concept!

I love scrabble too. When I first glanced at the rug I thought it was cool and I wanted it. Where would I put it? No where. It got old before I even bought it.

Outdoor lights right after Thanksgiving. Indoor can wait a while. Take them down Jan 1 or 2.

And I agree with michael about the Ficus. I've had them do well in some spots, but they do not like to be moved and don't adjust well to minor climate changes. They will drop all their leaves.

You can NOT kill a philodendron. They're great. Maybe not exotic, but will stay green!

Not hot. It reminds me of those stupid t-shirts that have fake tuxedos printed on them. Funny for about a minute.

Best idea here is the magnetic tins. LOVE IT! I might even put a magnetic knife rack in my bathroom and cover it with those tins.

I like them.

My last Christmas card was a picture of a wedge of Swiss cheese with a star on top.

I like it. Very creative. But, you would have to find the exact, perfect spot for it, and I don't know where that is...I'd love to have it hanging somewhere, just can't think of where it would receive the credit it deserves.

Most coasters are ugly. I like the cardboard ones you get in bars. I always use those at home.

Just a quick list off the top of my head. It will probably change as soon as I post this:

coffee table
comfortable sofa
nice towels
floor lamp
"not too small" area rug
quality flatware

Impractical and silly. I can't "picture" it in my yard.

The booths look cold, uninviting, and uncomfortable. Maybe they don't want people to sit for too long, so they can turn more tables. I'll have to take the word of those who have been there that it looks better in person, because this photo apparently is not doing it justice.

Ummm, good luck getting the money out. When you get a fair amount in the jar, it is going to be really tough to get it out. I did the same thing, you think because it went in easy it will come out easy...wrong. But I do think it looks nice!

frnd4vr---As a server, I'd be waiting all night to clear a plate for the 90% of CUSTOMERS who don't know the proper placement of flatware when finished with a meal. Sorry the "young" staff is tiring you out. I think the the design is condescending, as was your comment.

I'd probably stick with black and white. But, if I were a little more adventurous I'd want to paint a hint of red on the trim. Maybe a thin line? I've got a laundry room that I'm going to do in big black and white tile floor, cream cabinets and a brick red colored staircase. Maybe that's why I've got red on my mind...
