My wife and I use "Couple" mainly for the list sharing. We prefer it over a food-specific app because many of our lists aren't food related.

Combine Prime shipping with their subscription service. I have toothpaste, shampoo, lotion, razors, protein powder, etc... all on subscription. Once a month I get a shipment of all the items on my subscription list, but I can defer anything that I don't need or add anything that is running low. You get free shipping from Prime and a discount off the list price for being on the subscription plan.

Does anyone really make their phone number public on social networking sites?

Even my Facebook "friends" can't see my phone number.

The only people sadder than those actually working from a Starbucks are the complete losers who are there "working on a screenplay/novel". And the start-up companies meeting at a Starbucks? Really? Don't bank on those IPO bucks yet...

I'd rather be forced to sit in a Greyhound bus terminal in the bad part of town. The people are less revolting.

Nobody should upgrade to Windows 8 until the first Service Pack (SP) is released. If you don't know, SP1 is the first major update of a Windows OS after its release. It will contain a huge number of bug fixes, compatibility issues, and overall improvements.

I love to be on the cutting edge with my computers, but even I know better than to rush into a new Windows OS. There is simply no reason for an average computer user to consider a Win8 upgrade anytime soon. Check back in 6-9 months.

The problem with these phones is that the pay-per-minute services all have minutes that expire after 60-90 days.

How about a plan where I can buy my parents a dumb phone and 20 minutes of non-expiring airtime that they can keep in the glove box or their junk drawer for an emergency?

1.) Use the ability of Google to add extensions to your email. jane.doe+junk@gmail.com

2.) Add some set amount (+2?) to each digit of the last four of my SS# and my phone number

3.) Birthday is January 1, the year I was born.

All are easy to remember, but keep your actual information safe.

If you are going to use Facebook to find a realtor, do it by asking your friends that have purchased a house about their experiences and if they would recommend their realtor. I have a friend that, quite literally, became a real estate agent last week. I wouldn't trust him to do anything. The agent I used recently had 20+ years of experience, knew the neighborhood inside and out, had a team of talented inspectors that poured over the property, and went toe-to-toe with the bank over the loan. You won't find that agent on Facebook...

I love iRig with the AmpliTube Fender Amp application. It allows me to play my electric guitar through all kinds of virtual amps and cabinets. Also, you can load an mp3 into the app and then play along with the actual song.

The Facebook TOS specifically precludes users from giving their log-in information to other people. Just point this fact out to your potential employer. Ask them if they are really inducing you to violate your contract with Facebook as a condition of your employment?

I'm sure a good employment attorney would have fun if you didn't get the job (or even if you did get the job).

I have an Android tablet and an Android smartphone. Both would be "obsolete" already if it wasn't for the developer community (thank you XDA!) that continues to port updates to these devices and offer a range of custom apps. Plus, I have been able to overclock both devices and run the processors at speeds that are still competitive with a brand new device.

I am more than happy with my Android devices until the new quad-core processors have become the standard and prices have dropped 6-9 months from now.

And I remind myself that it's just a thing. It doesn't make me cooler or smarter and I would survive just fine if I didn't have it at all.
