I would repaint the peach wall with a much lighter shade of the same teal or gray you already have in your bedroom. I think neutrals make the light such a great focal point. Woudn't change the window at all, but I would reframe the art on the bottom of the stairs with a softer frame and would replace the railing in either a white, gray or black.

It looks very nice but I don't think I can support someone blatantly ripping off another design. It would be one thing if this was just a DIY project. But selling it?
I understand it's commonplace now but to me it just seems like selling fake designer purses.

While it is cool and ghostly, I think his use of color is beautiful. While not a cozy and inviting place for most people, I'm impressed by his use of texture and definition within the white space, it's almost as if he created a Bas Relief.

I bought two lamps at UO a few months ago and have not been able to find a lamp shade that actually fits onto the base properly. The shades sold by UO are of really poor quality. Poor enough for me to store the lamps in a closet until I can find an alternative shade.

maybe "scrapbook" a few favorite articles and images, recycle the rest.

I second www.reusablebags.com. It has some great compact shopping bag alternatives.

The entertainment center/cat area is a bit unsightly.
