Totally agree that sitting in is disruptive for the child. I did notice, though, when I was a tutor, that some parents would find quiet tasks that kept them unobtrusively in an adjoining room (where they could hear what we were doing, but were largely out of sight). I'm with krebscout and bekosmo! Someone please help my 2.5 yo daughter to fall asleep ANYWHERE. I would take stairs/chair/inner tube/hallway floor/shopping cart...or even, her bed. All the nappers pictured are incredibly cute, btw. :) Your Kids Sleep In The Darndest Places |

Another vote for the mini doodle with attached stylus -- daughter loves it -- but we also brought the Crayola Color Wonder markers & paper, b/c we were staying at a friends lovely beach house in Hawaii with all...white...upholstery.
