Hey @BlueMom - Yes, I got that blanket (and it's sister) at a Value Village (Savers) in Toronto. I think it hails from Eastern Europe or Asia. Only $7! Sorry not to be able to provide a better source.

Thank you all for the many lovely comments!

Re: The fish (who is called William the Bloody).
He is not always a friendly fellow (he's a fighting fish) which is why we keep him alone. But he seems quite happy.

Re: BetterOffNow's comment about the dirty dining room ceiling.
You caught me! All of our ceilings need paint. I've been meaning to get around to it for ages.

Re: The dust issue.
Dusting is a constant struggle in our place. It's annoying, but I try to live with it and dust only when I feel I really have to. (Like, right before AT comes to take photographs, for example.)

Thanks again for the comments, everyone. It's great to have so much positive feedback.

Hi BATYA7,

I actually put up a blog post about the DIY credenza just today. Here's the link:

Honestly though, it wasn't the absolute easiest project. Took a bit more work/money than expected. And I'd say you'd need a power drill. That said, the basic idea is just attaching legs to the bottom of a kitchen cabinet (and some pretty hardware to the front). With a little gumption and a screwdriver, I'd say most people would be able to make something similar, without any special skills. Best of luck if you try it!

Hi Dylan_Can,

Thanks so much for the comment! As for the dart board project -- it was successful in that it looked good, but I found I never really used it. The pin board images were unchanged for more than a year. It turns out that I was more inclined to save images digitally (via Pinterest) for example. So the cabinet is in my storage space right now. I'm trying to think of a different use for it.

If you're the kind of person who would actually use the cork board, I'd say it's still a worthwhile project.

Thanks again for looking!
