I don't change hanging wall art often because my collection is meticulously curated and arranged (read: I'm picky and perfectionistic), but sometimes I change the framed art that I have leaning on various shelves. The changes happen more whenever I get the urge than seasonally, though.

I just started using Postagram to send photos to my grandparents of my new nephew (their great-grandson). They don't use computers, so this is a fun way to send cards and photos of daily life and happenings.

When I bought my current sofa, I chose "celery" green (it actually looks a tad more blue than a celery stalk) and painted the living room a pale lavender. Other accents in the room are deep reds, dark greens, and several shades of natural wood. I love the room and spend lots of time in it!

I went to KC last week for a mini-vacation with my boyfriend. I've been there more than he has, but neither of us had been there in a while. My not-to-miss list includes:
- Pryde's Old Westport (mentioned above as "Pryde's of Westport")
- Fiorella's Jack Stack Barbecue (http://www.jackstackbbq.com) - Classic KC BBQ.
- The Phoenix Jazz Club (http://www.thephoenixkc.com) - It's a lesser-known jazz club popular with locals. It serves a full menu but doesn't have a dance floor. Try to go when Lonnie McFadden is playing!
- City Market (http://thecitymarket.org) - For the farmer's market on Saturday & Sunday.

Is there storage in the bathroom that is not shown in the photos? I like the creative use of limited space, just curious about where the toiletries go.

My parents recently purchased a Cuisinart single-serve coffee maker and I think the coffee it makes is not worth even the minimal effort required. When I visit, I use it to dispense "instantly" hot water that I use to make my coffee in an Aeropress. Aeropress is by far my favorite way to make coffee because it is simple, portable, and produces a strong (but not bitter) cup of coffee. The waste is also minimal because there is just a small biodegradable paper filter that can be rinsed and reused multiple times (I keep them an average of two weeks, making multiple cups per day). I take credit for getting both of my brothers hooked on coffee by letting them try my Aeropress.
