Great post & very timely, for me anyway. We just completed some remodeling work that back up your statements [I think].

We used a gray-dominated palette with Benjamin Moore Ice Mist, Iron Mountain, and Graystone on top of gray-stained maple flooring. We threw orange into the mix as wallpaper in one room and we absolutely love it. The orange came from Olli & Lime's Billie line and it is gorgeous.
