It looks huge for 395 square foot. Cute place.

Very sophistikated taste Aimee and Rene. Most of all I like the Sofa with the Klimt above. The foto itself (the 2nd in the tour) is great as well.

both measures would help distract the eye from the white thing close to the ceiling.

1. Push apliances together.
2. Buy an Isdans Roller blind http://www.ikea.com/de/de/catalog/products/70119901/?query=ISDANS#/50119898, mount it underneath the cabinets so the front of the cabinets and the roller blind are in the same line. You would use just a smal part of the roller blind, for the space between cabinets and washer/dryer and it would cover the mismatched control panels when not in use.
3. Paint apliances the same colour as cabinets or a bright colour of your liking. So you also have some etra counter space when not doing laundry.

You could also choose a much more time (and money) consuming option. Paint the whole nook in the same bright colour.

- Paint ceiling, walls and door(s) a bright (real) white.
- Leave cabinets and hardware as is. They will look great with all that white.
- Leave Plants and red clock.
- Declutter. (Find a place for everything that is on the counter now)
- As somebody already suggested turn table 90 degrees and cut legs to normal table height.
- Put two simple stools there. (like Marius in white or Frosta from Ikea.

After doing all this changes, it will be easy to ad a little cute decor here and there.

Congrats to such a nice space! It allready looks great as is. It will even look better painted white.
Paint it a real white (for me, that is the only white I consider to be white), it will look awesome with your floors and furniture.
I love it how having ceiling and wals painted the same white softes the corers. When different in color, the edges look much harsher.
You can allways add color with things you love.
