Plants are great but the secret here is "cushions." Grab some nice colored cushion covers, a nice combination of blues and greens and the room will look great. Never liked fake plants so fake grass is really not my thing. Although having green around the house is nice, not if it is fake green. I'd go for native plants like several other people have suggested. Natural and environmentally friendly. And it gives the dog some where to go to the toilet. Love the dining room and the large table that comfortably sits 8. I'd get rid of that bird though. It would give me the feeling its watching me when ever I'm eating. I'd also remove that big bunch of flowers in the middle of the table. It makes looking at some one opposite you too difficult. The biggest benefit is adorable moggie does not spray cat litter all over the floor that you have to clean up. But as puck said, I'm not sure how willing a cat would be to go to the toilet in a dark enclosed box. Can't help picturing a marijuana plant on the glass table. That light reminds me too much of hydroponics. As for that enormous bookshelf, i am soooo jealous. Just imagine the number of books you can store there and the satisfaction of climbing a ladder to grab a book. You can have too much of a good thing and this house is a great example. Even with a family of 3 kids, many rooms in this house would never be used. I'd get rid of the wall that separates the couch area from the dining area and that will give a big increase in space. That circular room with windows is great. Really like the way the bench/couch curves around the window. Just the kind of think I can imagine over looking a large garden or forest. With that bed, the chair and the windows, one word comes to mind, "comfortable". Just looking at that picture I have a strong desire to lie down on that bed and sleep. The windows are lovely and would make reading in bed on a lazy morning very enjoyable. The chair is great for watching your partner sleep or talking to them as they lie on the bed. All I can say is "Wow", what a view that would be. You would never do work that way, ergonomically impossible. Have a nice minimalist desk, a desk top PC with a large wide screen monitor and we are talking a dream office. As a bedroom it would be divine. The chairs and tables are great. The two lights above the table give me seem too close to peoples head and would give me a sense of claustrophobia. The plastic chairs and the basic frame table in the dining room reminds me of a cheap Pizza restaurant or school cafeteria. May just not my thing.
