Sorry, I'm going to say something else critical now. I've got the Weather HD app on my iPad which is currently depicting a night sky with twinkly stars, and says the sky is clear. I look out of my window and it's actually pretty accurate. It says the temperature is high 28 celsius, low 14 celsius.

On the other hand, I look at WTHR and it says it's sunny and 26 degrees. This doesn't make the product useful (principle 2). I suppose you might argue that the design is honest, in that it truly believes the sun is currently shining and it's warm outside. I mean, somewhere it has to be, doesn't it? Just not in my country right now.

I've had my HD650s for a couple of years and have never been quite as blown away by them as I had hoped. They are very detailed, but somehow a little dull sounding. The whole experience of using the doesn't encourage me to put them on. Their bulkiness isn't rewarded by an epic sound. By contrast I've been utterly impressed with the quality of my little desktop B&W MM-1s. Obviously they lack the privacy of headphones.

You didn't mention weight. My SO has an iPhone 4S case that has a flap to cover the front and it weighs almost as much as the phone itself.

I've used our smart cover twice since getting our iPad. For me, a waste of money. On the other hand, our Griffin A-stand has been great!

We have a SAD light and I find it better than caffeine for actually making me work. It literally feels like there is an electric charge being applied to my brain. Our cat sleeps on our desk with his head immediately in front of it, which I find odd.

If you're making a pair of loudspeakers it's worth checking out the LS3/5As - they were designed by the BBC in around 1972. They have an interesting history.

A bit of gender stereotyping here - do all women dislike loudspeakers while all men like them? I actually like looking at them, and if they are visually imposing and sound good then that's a satisfying environment for me.

The problem with the folder feature is that I stop using the apps that I put in them.

I put packaging straight into recycling. Sometimes this is before I've even confirmed that the device works. I don't laugh at people who keep packaging, it's just not something I do.

What I would really like is for there to be less packaging. And I would like every manufacturer of plastic to be taxed so that an international agency could be funded to deal with the Great Pacific Garbage Patch.

I am proud to say that I moved my 5 domains away from GoDaddy in December. It was really easy.
