Yes! Yes! home body and pds have the best and most reliable tip. Seal the edges with a light coat of the underneath color or a clear glaze of about the same sheen as the underneath color. Done it a million times on jobs. works great.
fyi, the sex and the city one was really just a circle made of mdf (fiberboard) painted to look like wood, layed on top of some scavanged real wood legs. The room & board one is a much elevated version.
