any fruit is great, particularly bananas (for the potassium). The sugars in the fruit gives you lots of energy so you can best take advantage of your work out. eg toast w peanut butter and banana

protein is good to have right after even if it's just a quick shake.

a little bit of protein and good fat is good before you go to bed too.

it's about as dangerous as chubby bunny. sorry, but this is such a false alarm, it seems ludicrous that it's getting this much national attention.. i've done it (yeah, i must be the downfall of the human race...) and it's just a stupid party trick. like shot gunning a beer while doing a handstand. which i've also done.

I wish my mom had slipped veggies into interesting places. i was not a picky eater, but my formative years were spent eating boiled carrots (plain) or boiled cauliflower (again, PLAIN) on the side. I couldn't stand either of those vegetables until after high school. What I wouldn't have given for some spinach in the tomato sauce!

And to defend my mother, she is an excellent cook. I just think she was really tired for a few years while my sister and I were at our most rambunctious.

Cheeses, jalepeno jelly and some kind of cracker or nice bread. Olives. Sometimes you get lucky and there's chorizo or salami. Dumplings with varied dipping sauces. I also recently found frozen chicken wings (raw in a dry rub) that actually taste amazing.
I also used to live with a girl who constantly made stovetop popcorn with curry powder. Heck yah.

Nothing out of the ordinary it seems!
