How about recreating the original windows by attaching molding to the wall to mimic the existing window. Paint it the same color as the window molding and use mirrors for the glass. It will refect more light into the room and give the effect of another window. Sunlight shining into a room from two angles creates softer, more eye-friendly shadows, and a feeling of additional space. Complete the illusion by using the same diaphanous linen panels around both "windows," and then you have the coveted corner loft!
