I can spend hours reorganizing my Pinterest boards. I enjoy revisiting my pins (some I'd forgotten about!), plus I'm a bit of an organizing freak. It's probably time to split my recipes board into something more manageable.

I have a black chow mix, too, and I know just what you mean about the shedding. I brush him regularly, but we still find dog-hair tumbleweeds throughout the house.

I'd suggest a carpet with more than one color. We have a shag that's mainly a medium tan color with specks of darker browns and black. It's great because our other two dogs and brown and white, so it covers all of them! We also have ultrasuede furniture. I usually keep the sofa and chairs covered with throws, but it's easy to get the hair off with a sticky roller.

I get Sunset and Marie Claire, but I'm months behind on both of them. I still love paging through a magazine, but I just got a Nook Tablet and plan to give online subscriptions a try. I don't think I want to read everything online, though. Sometimes I want that tactile feeling I get with paper.

Every year my husband gets me a calendar for Christmas--usually one with cute dogs. I hang it in my office and occasionally refer to it, but I primarily use my online calendar for appointments, etc. Still, I like looking at the cute dogs (Boston terriers for 2012!).
