John H, I'm not quite sure what you mean about the composition of the rug. Wool is one of the best, most maintenance free materials for a floor covering. I'm also not too worried about the creases. A good vacuum can take care of that. I bet it's less hassle than a shag rug.

Where are you located? I always think house colors should be chosen with the climate in mind.

If it was just a bunch of pine kitchen cabinets I would say paint, but since it is a whole knotty pine house I say respect the pine or buy a different house. The pine as it is, at least looks very intentional. You can make it look both intentional and attractive with the right furnishings.

There aren't enough thumbs up in the world to give to this project. I love the fold out changing table. So smart.

I love the bright colors against the wood and the white. It makes the whole space feel very cohesive. This feels like a real home with personality, not like it was furnished for no one in particular by professional stagers.

This is one of my favorite studios so far. Doesn't look too cluttered or too stark. Really reflects your own taste and personal style and looks totally comfortable. I love it!

I'm interested in the TV credenza. I have been looking for a simple drawer unit like that. Where is it from?

I'm going to give an anti rec for the Hemnes. We currently have the 8 drawer which we use as a changing table. While I love the drawer sizes (those little ones on top are perfect for baby accessories) I am continually frustrated by how the the drawer bottoms on the bigger drawers keep popping out.

I would switch the bed and bookshelves to the long wall and get a headboard for the bed so that it isn't totally dwarfed by the high shelves. The wall with the recessed portions, that you currently have all the furniture against, is more visually interesting and would feel complete with a nice armchair in one recessed portion, by the window, and a little desk in the other.

This is why everyone should hire an architect. They save you money in the end.

I just love the whole apartment. Not overstudied. Just manages to be personal and beautiful and comfortable and spare all at the same time. Looks like the furniture has been collected over a long period of time - which is how it should be.

Ahhh! A real home on AT, that is really lived in, by a real person. Yes, it is flawed, but that's what makes it a living, dynamic space, instead of a showroom. I'd love to see more of this kind of thing on AT. But, can someone please do something about that slideshow! Some pictures stretched, some shrunken, captions on the wrong photos....

I'm looking for a box shelf to go above a simple box bench in my entryway. Do you guys have any resources for these things? Are they all custom?

Beautiful house! I love the cool color scheme and the fact that every piece has a story. I am going to send the pictures of your bathroom to my parents. They have the same tile in their guest bathroom and I'd love to give them an idea of what they could do with it. I've never seen a better handling of those old tiles. genius!

I sort of love it the way it is. The plastic knobs, the speckled formica, the metal edging around the sink - it's all totally authentic and in a few years people all over America will be ripping out their cookie cutter subway tiled bathrooms and uninspired granite countertops and looking for something original. How long before we start turning to avocado fixtures as a nostalgic choice? Pull down that wallpaper border by all means, but please don't throw away that medicine cabinet. That thing is an antique.
