I'm laughing at Emily's use of the descriptor "beautiful gold chest of drawers" I always thought it was just plain old 80's shiny brasss. I was thinking of removing my brass fixtures before I sell the house next year, but I'm thinking now I just call it "bathrooms with beautiful gold fixtures" and "gold lighting fixtures throughout"! This is exactly why growing up we never had "open concept" homes. My Mom would have died before she let anyone see her kitchen a mess! I've never had an open concept home and I wouldn't want one. I cook and entertain a lot - no matter how disciplined I am about cleaning as I cook, the last minute rush to get all of the dishes to the table at the same time makes for an untidy kitchen. When guests "drop by" I'm happy that they are limited to seeing my living/dining great room sans kitchen - especially if I've been abit lazy about doing the dishes that day. The problem is not just the droppings, mice mark their "path" with urine; helps them navigate. I had 3 last year, finally was able to trap them but I had to pretty much disinfect any surface I thought they'd walked on. What To Do with Mouse in the House? Good Questions |
