Take it to a grandparent. They probably know how to fix it. My grandfather found one that was really beat up. He used sanded it down and stuck it in a fire (as far as I know, that's what he did), and it was good as new! He told me to stick it in a fire once a year to get it back down to its original coating...but it's just now "non stick" like I like it!

Baltimore is a fantastic town. We lived downtown for 3 years. I was mugged outside of our apartment and will even say it was a great town. They have fantastic neighborhoods, great food, and a wonderfull farmers market. I miss Baltimore (almost) everyday!

Great post! I was thinking to myself the other day how sick I was of seeing gallery walls on pinterest. Maybe now I can appreciate the style, or at least know where it's origins, even if I don't necessarily like it.

I just moved closer to family. I will help clean up at my parent's house, but at my in-laws, we have a rule. I don't want to help clean up when I come to your house, and I don't want you to help me clean up when you come to my house. And I tend to spread the rule with friends, I'd rather be in the kitchen cleaning up by myself after everyone leaves...or will leave it till tomorrow.

Definitely the counter space! I have very little space in my kitchen. Our microwave is banished to our also small dining room, and sits on top of our dining table up against the wall. Perhaps if it were in the kitchen we'd use it more. It may need to find a new home in the next few months!

I totally agree. Whenever my husband or I are sick, we prefer homemade tortilla soup. And if I've done a good job prepping the pantry, I'm able to make it with homemade chicken stock too--ups the health factor! I also tend to make it a little spicier to help with decongestion and get the nose running.

For Christmas Eve I make lasagna with homemade pasta. For Christmas breakfast we make pancake omelets (sub pancake batter instead of egg and add syrup--delish!!). For Christmas lunch/dinner every year, I make something I've never tried before. Up this year (so far) is cheddar and beer soup, and risotto. Have not decided on the entree yet...
