Our kitchen cabinets and the trim in the kitchen is an awful french-vanilla color. We thought going with a complimentary gray with some blue in it would make them look whiter, but it just made them look even yellower, duh. So we went with the vanilla color - walls, trim, ceiling, everything is painted the same color in a flat finish. It works surprisingly well! I guess it just kind of makes it "go away".

I used to let Burger sleep in the bed with me and on the couch and everything, but when he started shedding, I thought maybe I should bring the no-furniture policy back.

I was amazed at how much better his behavior was as soon as the rule went into effect, it seemed somehow like he needed that extra authority from me. So after shedding season, the rule stayed.

Here I came in to profess my secret dislike of all things Jonathan Adler, thinking I would be crucified. Turns out I'm not the only one.

I've found that one person can pretty comfortably sleep on one of the floor cushions from Urban Outfitters, two would do, they roll up for storage but aren't exactly tiny.

I love this, I think real christmas trees are a real pain in the arse.
