Thanks for the kind comments. I agree with everyone that it is a bit crowded, time to purge... sometimes it just takes a friendly nudge.

Addressing a few comments:

-Square footage of the main room is a tad over 13X13 feet, so teeny tiny. My bathroom, entry hall, kitchen, office area and two large walk in closets add all that extra square footage.

-I have two tray tables (they double as night stands)...I just grab the nearest one to eat on in the sitting area. I had my huge new desk before I moved in so I sacrificed a dining area for office area. The pink desk in the main room is my vanity. It's a vintage lucite find that I'll have a hard time giving up, but never say never.

- I cook a lot so I can't picture using the office area as the sleeping area as someone suggested.

Must vent too:

Upstairs my neighbor refuses to wear anything but their wooden clogs (what I imagine they're wearing) when touching their feet to floor as soon as they get out of bed. I wear soft slippers in my apartment so my downstairs neighbor doesn't hate me.

Across the courtyard my neighbor blasts his video games on his surround sound entertainment system with the windows open. Apparently it HAS to be played at high volume no matter what. Last night he played the same song on his entertainment system looping for at least 20 minutes.

I don't mind when people have guests over and they are enjoying themselves loudly but little things like clog lady and mustplayvideogamesatfullvolumewithwindowsopen man really test my patience.

I had one too! I can hear the jingle that went with the commercial for Fashion Plates...

It was a very dandy sounding man singing "fashion plates" in a (what I thought as a kid) very sophisticated tone...

Love the texture.

I've was thinking about doing this on top of my plywood (landlord: let's just paint the subfloor!) floor in my bedroom on the outer edges in the room on the outside of the throw rug. Wondering if the tape would leave residue when taking it off if I had to move out.
