I remember thinking it was awesome to see someone else with my last name (kleiman) on a book shelf, so I picked up Evan Kleiman's "pizza, pasta, panini" when i was in grade school and totally obsessed with noodles, but rarely cooked from it. after a taqueria trip in the wintertime, i've definitely tied my down jacket to our third floor balcony railings and let it flap around in the wind a while! worked like a charm albeit not the prettiest clothesline out there! my go to pasta dish may sound a little weird, but i always toss pasta with bacon bits (not the gross crunchy bacos, but the "hormel real bacon bits"), garlic or garlic salt, basil and olive oil. my mom made it for me all the time when i was little and now its serious comfort food! noodles rarely go un-baconed in my house. i absolutely love that newish commercial for yoplait "whips" (which is the only yogurt i can handle, its a texture thing...) when the strawberries bounce off the frozen yogurt. it looks delish... must restock the fridge! just an fyi - oats are not considered gluten free. celiac disease means: no oats, wheat, barley and rye. some feel that oats are the first thing you can try to introduce back into your diet, but not recommended. so these are wheat free! which is nice for some people too!
