@Charlieb & FLLW: Bar Keeper's Friend is the bomb! I've got a 90's era flat top stove and the only thing that will get the residue left from a pot boiling over is BKF. It's also the only thing that will get my white porcelain sink clean again. I just found a soft cleanser version (instead of the powder) at Lowe's this week, but haven't given it a try yet.

As for the kitchen--we moved into our house about a year-and-a-half ago and the kitchen could definitely stand some rearrangement now that we've been living with it for awhile. I'd really love to add sliding shelves to the pantry cabinet. I'm sure there are things in the back of that cabinet that got moved from the back of a cabinet at the old house and have never seen the light of day since they got here.

Perfect timing! Right before I checked my email for today's assignment, I cleaned out a drawer during a conference call (I do love working from home!) and set aside some beautiful money from a trip to China in 2006 that I've been meaning to frame. Now to just figure out the best way to do it. It would be nice to have a layered glass frame so that I could turn it around so I could see both sides of the bills.

I'll be buying an orchid--they don't cost much more than cut flowers and last a whole lot longer. Then when they inevitably stop blooming and look really pathetic, I don't feel so bad about trashing them because I got a lot more enjoyment than I would've from a bouquet of cut flowers.
