My thought is plants. Is it warm enough to support fragrant beasties like creeping jasmine along the lattice? Or you could do a kitchen theme with rosemary, sage, mint and thyme growing in pots. (Mint especially if you like mojitos :)

Yes, paint the wall and perhaps do some artwork.

I keep the landline for 2 reasons:

1) DSL
1a - Our DSL is reasonably priced and very reliable compared to friends' cable modems.
1b - I regard cable as disposable and the local cable company with suspicion. If I can convince hubby to cancel cable I will - and I won't want to stop to dither about cable internet.

2) It's not uncommon for us to lose power during winter windstorms, including one 5-day stretch last December. Good ol' fashioned phone lines work just fine without power.

Um....

My yellow squeeze bottle is so old I'm not sure what "branding" it used to have. I've been refilling it with "whatever's cheapest" since the first month in my first apartment (January 1990). It's easy to clean and does the job - so why throw it out?

Er. Has it occurred to anyone that the person at the store who is harassing the reader may be a low-level person who might even have been fired? In that case, I doubt naming the store would be of any use.

Over in Seattle, tap water is tasty. I have a water bottle at the office (provided by the company, with logo) but lately I've just been getting up and refilling a glass tumbler. Yes, this means I get up from my desk more often. I also feel more awake, so perhaps it's helping my circulation or something :)

The one thing I do like pre-bottled water for is in my car. I keep a 6-pack in the trunk along with beef jerky and a few bottles of Gatorade. It does come in handy when stuck in traffic and for yoga.

I just wanted to say I like that the kitchen is now next to the living room. This puts the two "public" areas together for entertaining :)

I like it a LOT, but then for years I had white couches, white bookcases, white tables, white chairs ~ partly to go with whatever rental I was in, and partly to set off artwork. I would also get colorful pillows :)

The one change I would seriously suggest would be to pick up a couple chairs to face the couch to make a seating area. If you're patient, you might even get chairs that work as seating and as extra dining chairs.
