Yes, I'm sure. The packaging for both Vitrea and Porcelaine 150 both clearly say "Not recommended for use on surfaces that come in contact with food." Here is an online retailer's page for Porcelaine 150 and it has that disclaimer on it twice. Here is a blogger who contacted Pebeo and Dick Blick and confirmed that "These paints have not been FDA approved for use with food. They are for decorative purposes only. The non-toxic label is for the paint in the liquid form." A known issue, too, is the marring of the paint that occurs when this paint is used on food contact surfaces through forks/knives. So even if the paint is well and truly nontoxic post baking, the paint is known to be too fragile to withstand use with eating utensils. Perhaps you should at least mention that part in your etsy listings of plates?

Lining doesn't just function as a "finish" for the back of the blinds. It acts as a filter for UV rays to protect the interior decorative fabric and to protect carpet/furnishings from fading due to UV exposure. Plain muslin will not work as a liner. You will need a liner that has UV protection. It doesn't have to be blackout fabric but it does need to be drapery lining.

I looked at these paints this weekend and it says clearly on the package "Not recommended for use on surfaces that come in contact with food."

my boyfriend and i have been doing something similar to this for a couple years now. we give money/wishlist items to the local homeless shelter, animal shelter and rape crisis center in lieu of gifts to one another. it gives a whole new meaning to the concept of "big christmas". we don't open a single gift on christmas day and our house is filled with joy.

btw--gloves and socks are very very cheap and very much sought after by homeless shelters/the homeless population. if you can't afford coats then gloves/socks would be a welcome alternative.

i was bitten by the thrift store bug in high school and it has gradually taken over my life (no exaggeration). i have found some amazing things--a whale tooth and a pachinko machine among them. just last week i found an amazing kuehne khrome dinette from the 50's, leaf included, for $25. i have a flickr set of a few of my finds over the past year or so.

i have a vitamix 5000, bought last spring because i was tired of buying craptastic blenders that don't last. it is, without a doubt, a godsend and worth every single cent. i have used it every single day, multiple times a day, for the year and a half i've had it, for a plethora of tasks. i have never experienced even a tiny hiccup in performance. there is very little it can't do and the things it can do are limited only by your imagination. yes, it is that awesome.
