I've just spent my entire lunch hour looking at this tour, obsessing over the photographs, just drinking it in. I feel that if I could lie under the trees in the backyard (I'm thinking, of course, of a perfectly tasteful hammock) with a drink in my hand, I would have reached some kind of nirvana.

Yeah, I have to agree, and say that I don't really understand what pictures 11 (cock-eyed cork board, leftover office-supply desk, powerbar resting on top of wastebasket) and 12 (Ikea chair, stained [?] wall to wall, uncharming boxes used as bookshelves) for example are doing on AT. Sorry.

I'd love to see a number of examples on Art Therapy of book collections that are well arranged or stored (I do remember that show-stopper London flat where books were shelved into the very steep staircase leading to the bedroom). I can't remember, though, that last time I saw a House tour (if I ever have) that included a designed space with a truly large library. Bookshelves up to the ceiling is one good idea, I think, though I haven't managed that yet myself.

The children look like the all other luxury accessories in this house. Decorative, expensive (a surrogate?), and over-managed. The butterflies under glass in their room seem so blatantly ironic... at first I was wondering what they would do when the kids started wandering around the house and exploring all those interesting things at floor level, and then I realized that the children will probably spend most of their time in the nursery suite. As for dusting, if they don't have a number of servants, I'll eat my words. Still, an interesting glimpse into a kind of wealth and style of life that very few people possess.

I am never a fan of the black/white/red/gray colour scheme, but this is really well executed.

The headboard/curtain combination is so clever. Love this.

The marble table is gorgeous. (And I agree with helanother: a bit more personalization would go a long way.)
