I like the idea of decorating for the holidays. But as a renter and student who also juggles work it really isn't feasible for me to spend money on decorations.

Instead I'll buy a new pot or plant to enhance my outside space and be able to enjoy it year round instead of just for a few weeks.

Like the majority here I steer clear of the produce section. Thats what the farmers market is for... right!

Traders is good for specialty items though. I love there chicken sausages that I eat as hot dogs. All their non dairy icecreams are delicious... I think I'm gonna half to go pick up some mango icecream now : )

I'm fairly certain that its not a wallpaper. I think it is many small butterflies glued or pinned in that pattern on the wall.

I moved in with my sister a year ago... or rather we moved in together.

The cleaning thing was definately an issue since although I consider myself quite neat she is ocd about cleanliness.

We've worked out a system or which chores we each do. Since she cleans much MUCH more than me I pay the bills (we both pay equally for everything but I'm the one that calculates and mails it all out), as well as do all the shopping to even out the work load.

Over time little things that don't seem important at the time will grow and grow until a fight erupts over something that could have easily been talked through.

Personally I would avoid demanding that she be home at a certain hour. Since she is 18 it might seem like you are trying to be a parent instead of roomate and she in turn may resent that. Instead of setting a curfew for 12 set a noise curfew. After 12 it has to be quiet. That way you can get your sleep and she can have her freedom.

Also something me and my sister do is give each other a heads up when we are going to have someone over be it boyfriends, friends, or even family. That way your not surprised to walk in and see stangers on your couch lol.

I guess it all comes down to how often you like to bathe.
I LOVE baths. Nothing better than hot bubbles and a good book. So for me a clawfoot tub is a dream come true!

i lived in peru for a little bit. Stayed in cuzco and lima while I was there and cocoa is not at all considered remotely the same as cocaine.

There the people use it in everything, tea, breads, candy. When I came back to the states I brought back cocoa leaves and cocoa candy. Its completely legal and not at all dangerous. You would have to consume a LOT of cocoa to get a high.

I would argue that its prettyness makes it more useable. A space that is as lovely as this one makes you want to visit and stay longer.

Love the antique mirror over the stove. My roommate just brought over more of her stuff, one of which is an antique mirror (though not as large and grand) and we've been wondering where it should go. This is perfect.

Thanks AT for the great post.

i love the idea of a rest place in a home office. I'm so much more productive after a cat nap... gets me over the hump of the middle of the day.

if there is absolutely no way you can get out I would suggest one thing. Change the lock on your bedroom door.

For less than $20 you can buy a doorknob with a lock and swap it out on your bedroom door. Then at least you can retreat to your room knowing that your roommate has no access.

I live with two roommates and luckily I get along with them very well, we all have locks on our doors though and I've found this works perfectly.

goodluck

this would be useful to replace sidewalk grass or center divider grass, no one walks on that stuff anyways.

organic or not your still drinking animal mucus. Its odd that we are the only animal that continues to drink animal milk after we are weaned from our mothers milk. its bizarre.
especially when there are so many wonderful alternatives. soy, rice, almond, cashew... to name a few.
