I'll bet money they are behind the pull outdoor in the bottom of your oven that's where our mouse nest was. If your renting the nest may have been there from the last tenants and its new mice. Don't use sticky traps if you have a sensitive nature, it's a bad way to die and they chew off there legs (personal experience). Check for gaps in the back of the cabinets where they can crawl and plug it. They don't chew through steel wool so it's works. Scrub everything, put all your food boxes in plastic bags you can seal. Just keep saying "at least it's not roaches".

Go someplace you can try out the knives and find one good chefs knife and see if they carry that knife. It saves space having only a couple of good blades however you store them. America's Test Kitchen did a test on knife sets and have their recommendations.
